Take A Look From Wherever You Are

You're looking at the Olin Quad on south campus. The quad consists of five buildings. The building on the left foreground is the F.W. Olin Engineering Complex, which houses classrooms and testing labs. The one on the right foreground is the F.W. Olin LIfe Sciences Building, where you'll find biology labs and classrooms. Next to it is the Gordon L. Nelson Health Sciences Building, featuring over 20,000 square feet of classrooms, research laboratories, and advanced teaching laboratories.

In the back of the quad is the L3Harris Center for Science and Engineering, which houses the L3Harris Institute for Assured Information, as well as aquaculture and marine biology labs. The F.W. Olin Physical Sciences Center is on the left, behind the engineering building. Although you can't see the building itself, you can see its rooftop dome, which houses the Ortega Telescope, one of the largest telescopes in the southeastern U.S.

Throughout the day you'll see students on their skateboards, riding bicycles and walking from one class to another. If you've never experienced Florida weather first-hand, watch for a while and get a feel. It will be sunny one moment, rainy the next, then back to beautiful.
